Do the workouts in seventeen magazine really work?

I’m 16 years old and I am on this health kick and have decided I really want to get in shape and lose some weight. I made a binder filled with all of the workouts I have from Seventeen magazine, and I do one or two of the workouts a day, along with some cardio on the treadmill. Do these actually work, and if I stick to them are they actually going to give me the results they promise? Preferably someone with experience, or someone who knows alot about fitness and exercise. The main reason I ask is because most health guidelines will tell you to get AT LEAST 60 minutes of physical activity in a day, and these exercises are designed to only take you 20-30 minutes, so I feel like they may not be working.
